Effects of Advertising to people

I think that the core purpose of Advertising is "to make people know" doesn't matter what this ads tell you or let you know isn't important to them. Just the fact that you know them that they exist is what they want. if you're not thinking about it thoroughly and you often are not when you're watching television or reading, you'll pretty much accept any suggestion that is being offered to you. Since you're being so passive, you may not realize it. Say you're a social climber type of person going friends with the rich ones hanging out clubbing every night because this certain bar have this pretty ads that say "70% discount on beers this Friday" because your friends want you to join them. Then boom!, every week your wallet is empty.

But its not always bad. Ads can help us to understand our society better.  They show us what sorts of ambitions people have because they show us what our society thinks people's lives should be like. What if there is an event and you are interested in, but you didn't know it was going to be in town because they didn't put up an Ads for that.  Maybe there is a sale or a special event at your favorite store or food shop.  Advertising helps people meet their  desires by giving them idea on sometimes events that is important to that person.

Effects of Advertising in the society.

What is Advertisements?  It is a Paid, and it is a non-personal visual or auditory material about a company or a persons goods and services that they offers. "Advertisements feeds ignorance" but does is really help us? i think that it have its positive and negative effect on our society. Think of a commercial that says "Get naughty" and a kids saw it on his way to school or home walking alone in the street. 

 

And because this kid thought of himself that he is cool and stuffs. He decided to be a naughty person. Imagine that these ads that he saw was posted in a big billboard where kids always come by. And what if everyone of these children did what they saw too? Im not saying that all these Advertisements are that much of a harmful thing to a lets say "ignorant" by passer but some of these really are. And that alone really affect the society. And what good do these do to us? 

Yes as i said earlier that it feeds ignorance it also give you a feeling of vanity. "huh! I also use that expensive perfume"knowing that a celebrity uses it also. Even though you skip these ads in youtube, TV or maybe took just a glimpse of it in the street or newspaper. It will still be in doesn't mean the ad isn't still lodged somewhere inside your memory.

What was it like to interview a professional? Its a very awesome feeling thats full of excitement and fear of hoping that you don't mess up in front of them. Getting ready before you meet with the one you will interview is very stressfulif its your first time but we managed not to be that stress because we know for our selves that we deserve to interview them.

Going to a mall that is full of high level people that is really amusing. Professionals everywhere and i learned to act like one to just to not be awkward. The menu in the restaurant is so expensive but delicious. Taking picture in the street and having a fun time shooting in the field is my first time. its really an awesome feeling. even tough the other camera had stop during the interview at least we still have another back up. That's the good thing that i learned always have a back up and don't panic.

What was it like before the emergence and development of multimedia?

Multimedia is a "need"  of businesses nowadays. In the past, where they only use letters and postman to send their message to their client. Business is slow waiting till weeks for reply maybe even months if something happened and years if it needs to travel in the seas. 

Making the product is same hard thing because you do it manually with your hands. No automatic machines to help you and do the product. Billboards for movies are also hard to do like they paint in a huge flat wood or even cement just to show the main design of the movie in the streets. 

When Cory Smith was writing a blog about  John Lasseter's work in the movie A Bug’s Life, she said that "Sometimes the technology is part of the business requirement". In his time technology was limited, one of the producers even said that they cannot put more than 50 characters in the screen.

"Could you imagine an ant colony with only 50 ants visible?" so that made them to do a much better technology and evolve their way in their business.

Multimedia changed businesses. Giving less time for business men to make their product for selling stuffs more and lesser the cost. Having to communicate with their clients fast.

My Multimedia Business

If ever i start my own multimedia business, I'm going to have a T-shirt and banner Printing shop with Photography studio and event coverage. I choose this because of the needs of people now a days. Everything customize for them like t-shirt prints, Jackets, hoodies, tarpaulins, banners, etc. my business will be specializing in designs for photos, custom t-shirt designs, and video coverage in events. My business will be called "MultiDesign Studios and printing".

State of the multimedia industry in the Philippines

As a newly industrialized country, the Philippines have grown intact with new technologies. TV, Cellular phones, Tablets, Smart phones, Personal computers, etc. Being an archipelago being connected with families is a must. That's why "PINOYS" are so into gadgets nowadays. One of the leading telecommunication company in the Philippine PLDT launched the new Home launching Fibr, with speeds of up to 100 Mbps; and the Dual Core Telpad, the world’s first landline and tablet in one backed by the latest Android OS.

 Even just watching TV we can see how really technology is in a fast growing state. 3D cartoons, Animations, CGI based movies and many more types that television networks have had to go with.  Francis Joseph Cruz a writer in Rappler.com said that 2013 was a year that was touted as one of the best years for Philippine cinema.

Even just listening to music you can hear sounds that no acoustic instrument can make. Using sound or music editors recording companies have taken a new level. Other than old CD and a mix tape they use flashdrive. Mixing their songs in a click of a mouse. Filipino artist uses internet to share their songs in websites like youtube.com. Some of it are even going viral like Jireh Lim's "Magkabilang Mundo"
