2nd meeting in Principles in design and color theory with Mr. Rey mendoza

learning the basics in configuring my own settings on photoshop.

to be able to start photoshop with its factory settings you must hold "command + option + shift" before clicking on the Ps icon, when prompt simply press yes to reset your photoshop settings.

to open up preferences press "Command + k" or simply go to (for mac click the PHOTOSHOP on the top left > preferences > general

preferences has many options to configure,  General, Interface, File handling, Performance, Cursor, Transparency, units & rulers, guides grids and slices, plug-ins and type.

on Interface you can change the color of the Photoshop's UI to black gray and to white.

on Performance it is best to use 60% of the computers memory for it to have 40% memory for the other programs in your computer.

on putting the number in the history settings. it is advisable that you only put up to 99 only for your computer not to hang or the program to crash.

Cursor, you can change your working cursor here. on how you want it to show when your working.

Transparency & gamut is where you change the empty layer on your work. on how you can see it.

units & rulers to be able to use ruler easily you must uses inches as the measurement. because it is the most common language we use instead of cm.

300 ppi is use by printers to print thier work because 72ppi is too small and the photo might get pixelated.

8 points is 12 points and is the best readable size of your text when printed in a paper.
